The Lamborghini has launched a new sports car LP640 Ad Personam along with LP560-4 Ad Personam at the Detroit Auto show.
The LP640 features the most powerful quality which is designed exclusively in matt-blue color. Three more colors are available which are matt brown, matt brown finish and matt-luster black. In addition Lamborghini offers a free choice of color to the customers according to their interest. The LP640 has a V12 engine compared to the LP560-4 V10 engine, which enables the car to reach a top speed of 211 mph and accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.3. seconds.

Even though the last thing that spring into mind when thinking about supercars is their environmental friendliness, by following conscientious and forward thinking strategies, Koenigsegg has managed to create the Bio Fuel Powered CCXR - environmentally friendly 1200 with even more spectacular performance than the standard CCX.It is true that the very low and exclusive production volume of Koenigsegg can hardly be considered to have a measurable impact on the Co2 problem that global society is facing, but still it is an impressive statement that even a small and extreme company like Koenigsegg can afford to develop environmentally focussed solutions.The Experienced Koenigsegg Swedish Team of engineers has managed to modify the CCX engine to run on bio ethanol fuel, therefore we can state that this is probably the most eco friendly supersport car in the world. On he other side, we do not know yet how many adversaries will have something in hand to contest its supremacy, knowing the fact that the octane value (way over 100) has increased the value of the car at 1.018hp.Although the Nordic team did not officially reveal what this data will mean on the road (the car has a torque of 1060 nm at 6100 rpm), there is no doubt that the CCXR has the potential to go way under 3 seconds by 100 km/h and to shatter the 400 km /h border. Following the long-term strategy of Koenigsegg, all previous CCXs will have the possibility to be converted by the factory to accept the biofuel option.The CCXR Biofuel upgrade has been developed in-house on the factory's engine dyno by the skilled technicians at Koenigsegg, led by Christian Koenigsegg, Marco Garver and Anders Hoglund from the Koenigsegg partner company Cargine Engineering.

After the great success that the G35 coupe has had in the past, Infinity launches a new sport coupe G37. Since 2003, when it arrived, the model G coupe has had annual sales of almost 26 000, number that accounts for nearly 40 percent of all G sales. Taking into account the fact the numbers reached in 2006 over 20000 (more than BMW did 3 Series Coupes- slightly under 15000), no one can say now that coupes are dead.It would be only natural that after such a huge success Infinity would bring to front a fresh two door of its own, especially if they want to keep BMW tense a little after they have just released the twin-turbocharged, 300-horsepower E92 335i coupe.The G-Coupe interior has been remodeled, the chassis has been tweaked and the styling has been brought to a higher level. 37 more horsepower has been added to the new V6. So the new G37 will be propelled by the new .7 liter VQ series V6 with 330 horses and 270 pound-feet of torque. The VQ will definitely be found into other Infinity products like the FX sport, M and G sedans or maybe the next Nissan Z or the upcoming Skyline GT-R. The VVEL is highly appreciated by Infinity due to a few qualities like: it provides more power and torque throughout the power band, also improves fuel economy as well as reduces emissions. At a first look, the new coupe seems to be almost like the old one, but further and more attentive examination reveals important fine lines: every body panel is new, fresh design cues are incorporated including a wave hood, a double-arch grille, L-shaped headlamps, and an integrated rear spoiler. When comparing dimensions, we can say that the G 37 has grown only 0.9 inches in length and 0.2 inches in width and it has shrinked by 0.1 inch in height. Wheelbase is still 112.2 inches, and front, rear tracks are widening by 0.5 and 0.9 inch, respectively

Hyundai has presented at the Geneva Show the series model i30 hatchback and the new QarmaQ concept.The crossover Concept, which has been announced in a sketch published a few weeks ago by Hyundai, brings an important change of approach in what concerns the materials used in its composition.While the traditional cars use metal and glass, QarmaQ is assembled from plastic materials made by GE Plastics. The QarmaQ concept is the result of the cooperation between the 2 companies and brings, as novelty, a vista of the kind that only a view from the chopper gives, because of the great surface of the plasticized windows from the car's body.By integrating GE's polycarbonate glazing wrap-around and the GE Lexan windscreens, the body weight of the cars is reduced by almost 50 %. A unique technology characterizes Lexan screens: Exatec Technology. It' s a technology through which a thin, protective layer of glass is deposited on the screen, which helps when protecting from scratching or effects of humidity. The material, much lighter than traditional glass used in automotive industry, also increases the impact resistance and both occupant and pedestrian safety. When talking about pedestrian safety, we can also mention the system that uses deformable sections under the concept's body panels, which is able to absorb crush energy in case a collision with a person may happen.GE Plastics' High Performance Thermoplastic Composite (which is used for the horizontal body panels) manages to also save some weight. 900 recycled plastic bottles have been used when manufacturing other body panels.The new concept is a showcase of 30 new technologies that will be found in the future Hyundai models. The car is the result of the hard work of Hyundai Motor Europe's Design and Technical Center and it has been engineered in cooperation with GE Plastics. It will be ready to roll in 2008 to 2014

The newest addition to the Hummer family is the Hummer H3 and this car is also the smallest of the family members. Compared to its predecessors, the Hummer H3 is less of an extreme car and more of an ordinary SUV at least to the naked eye. The Hummer 3 - H3 has however received standing ovations for its capacity in rough terrain; this car will take your kids to soccer practice even if you have to driver through a flooded field in Uzbekistan to get them there. The H3 is equipped with a 3.5-liter 5-cylinder engine that can develop 220 hp and 225 foot-pounds of torque and its road handling capabilities are excellent. On the downside, the Hummer H3 is uses up a lot of gas compared to other SUVs. The Hummer H1 and H2 are both infamous for their fuel consumption and the H3 will do not better than 18 miles per gallon on the highway. The MPG for city driving is 14, which is not very impressive. Another difficulty noted by some Hummer H3 drivers is poor visibility. This is not a problem if you are fairly tall, but shorter persons can have a hard time keeping an eye on certain angles while driving your H3. This is naturally a problem for road safety, especially when driving in areas with a lot of bikers and pedestrians.

Today, Honda FC Sport design study model, a hydrogen-powered, three-seat sports car concept, at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show. "The Honda FC Sport explores how to satisfy automotive performance enthusiasts in a world beyond petroleum," said Dan Bonawitz, vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "People who love sports cars will still have a reason to love in a hydrogen-powered future."
